BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE RUINED MY WEEKEND

Today we went to Toscanini's Ice Cream to meet up with Amy and Azhar. As we left, and as Kate was about to head back to Greenfield for another week, we passed Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner on the sidewalk behind the ice cream shop. Kate and Amy were struggling to reconcile their honest amusement at seeing stars with their intellectual feeling that there were more exciting people to meet on the sidewalk. When Kate and I parted ways I could tell that fame was on her mind. It makes me nervous that people like celebrities because that thinking takes up a lot of human mental bandwidth that could be used for helpful, useful, or otherwise positive action. Thinking about Bennifer II wastes time and effort that could be directed toward my hapiness and my needs. Where are people's priorities?... stupid Afflecks.
