I am currently hooked on these puzzles. It's like a crossword without the foolish clues. Numbers rule! ...I can solve the Monday one so far. I'll keep working. Su Doku from the London Times
I've solved a Tuesday and a Wednesday puzzle. The Thursday puzzle has taken me 90 minutes to get to a point where I was hopelessly turned around, resulting in me having to erase every mark that I'd made and starting over. These puzzles are cool! People have developed Su Doku solver programs so they can win free champagne from the Times. That defeats the whole pupose of having puzzles. They should be about a personal challenge and the enjoyment that comes from thinking critically. Champagne is nice, but wouldn't you rather do something yourself?
