Stan is, in fact, the man
Stan Rogers, that is. I've been listening to his
powerful maritime folk music quite a bit recently. His lyrics call to me even more now that I've been to the Rawdon Hills, the
Annapolis Valley, and to the
highlands of Eastern Nova Scotia. Throw that together with the Highlands in Scotland, and you've got an experience in music! Check him out. There was some great unpublished live stuff on
Napster before the RIAA screwed it up for thieves everywhere. Extremely unfortunate.
There are actually two beverages of the day today:
Pete's Strawberry Blonde and Wachusett IPA by the
Wachusett Brewing Company. The IPA is very nice. An almost nutty bitterness makes it unique. The Strawberry Blonde is good with dessert. Either way, the lack of a social scene makes for tear-stained beer bottles here in my hometown, but soon Kate will be back and all will be right with the world.
Excessive attachment
I'm not sure if my writing in this 'blog has made be ponder this possible relationship (possible because we've been on only 1 date!), but I think I might be reading too much into this.. I wonder if she is turned off by my shyness. I know that some women want a guy to be quite forward. I'd rather see her a few times before making a move. A lot to think about, and my accuracy is suspect on two
beers.
