I’m thinking about dressing Ronald up for Halloween in one of those outfits that makes his front legs look like the legs of a person with little fake arms. Possible characters are listed below. Please feel free to discuss the list or to suggest any of your own.
-MacGyver – Yellow Mullet wig, leather jacket, jeans, white Reeboks, little Swiss army knife as an accessory.
-Magnum PI – Hawaiian shirt, gold chain, dodgers cap, khakis, Barbie Ferrari and mustache accessories.
-Michael Knight – Hasselhoff wig, gold chain w/ prominent chest hair, black jeans and jacket, watch and Black Barbie Trans Am accessories.
-Abe Lincoln – Black suit with long coat, Top hat, beard, second inaugural address (“…with charity for all, with malice toward none…”) accessory.
-Anubis – Egyptian Jackal God – scepter & crook, neck adornment, tunic or robe.
Your thoughts? I’m currently leaning toward MacGyver.

MacGyver would be my pick too. Other than Lincoln, he's the best role-model of the bunch, but he's more current, and the kids really connect with that. Plus, he could do stuff with duct tape that mere mortals like us can only dream about.
I almost understand your point about "the kids connecting with" Macgyver. Unfortunately any kids who liked MacGyver are now 30. My sister Amy has a signed publicity photo of Richard Dean Anderson from the MacGyver days (not the Stargate SG-1 days). I'll see if I can get that scanned and posted. Good times.
