Bishop Allen is rocking my socks right now. I've listened to their first full-length "Charm School" and I've ordered their EPs. Check out this cool thing...
Monthly EPs throughout 2006. Four Songs per EP, available from the band directly. Check out the MP3s on the website. I highly recommend "The Monitor" (It's about the Civil War-era battle of the Ironclads!), "Corazon", and "Busted Heart". They play the Middle East in Cambridge on May 4. Bring extra socks and some cash to buy custom-embroidered hosiery (socks).
I would also like to know if you listen to the MP3s and like them. If you remember, leave a comment on the blog here. Just something like "u suk" will be enough to let me know what you think if you indeed feel that I suck. Two-way communication... wave of the future?

Thanks for the tip, Chili. I took what they offered and I'm on my first listen and like it so far. It's always refreshing when folks can sing about something more original than how much they love love and how much their hearts are hurtin'. A song about a warship? Yeah, that's pretty cool.
You know, I might actually like to see these guys in concert. Are you going? Should we make a date? I could scoot to a concert after work.
I checked out some of the MP3's and I have to say that the band is pretty good. My socks are still firmly in place but I'll admit that I liked the music.
