Now for the scary stuff... we didn't really check with our landlord or look at our lease before committing our hearts and minds to this new family member. We thought "Oh, come on. He's tiny! We'll litter train him and it's like having a cat." Not true for at least two reasons:
- Dogs can be much noisier than cats.
- Landlords don't see a dog, they see chewed baseboard and doors. An unrentable apartment. Poop on the rug.
I meet Solomon at the house when he stops by to view the refurbished garage (ps- we have a newly refurbished garage, Thanks Solomon)and showed him the tiny dog. I asked him if he wanted to hold him. He said no thanks. I think that might have gotten to him. He called me today and we talked about some new arrangements that will allow Ronald to stay with us. Very excited.
