CLOTHING STORE IDEA

Why are clothing stores organized the way they are? I don't need a section of shirts and a section of pants. What I need is a section of 'XL' and a section of 'L' and so on. I can tell it's a shirt just by looking at it. What I don't know is the size. This thought was generated as I searched in vain for a package of boxer-briefs in my size at Sears. Good tool section, bad underwear section. I guess you can't have it all.

Also, why are tv shows about fashion shows televised? The backstage drama? The crappy designs? The pretentious models? All I could think of was "Never have so many done so little to benefit so few." Maybe those employed in the fashion industry could make me happier by doing two things, in order:

  1. Sort the stores by size.
  2. Help somebody who needs help. "Helping" a "fashion victim" isn't really on the same level as feeding hungry children or preventing the spread of avian flu.
The basic idea is to optimize my shopping experience and then leave the industry. That would be good.
