...To the beige-mobile, chums!

AN EXCELLENT FILM. Koyaanisqatsi (1983) by Godfrey Reggio was a really powerful movie. Different, to be sure, but powerful. It's not about characters or events or situations, but it has all of those things in it. I watched it twice onSunday, enjoyed it both times. I think it's excellent because it's a movie about the viewer and not about the director or the special effects. In 2004 we rarely have an opportunity ot reflect on our own lives and experiences and surroundings. This film is a rare chance to think about our thinking and to analyze our decisions. The movie is so different that this cance for self-reflection can be easily missed. Going into the viewing with a thoughtful attitude, patience, and a willingness to think about - rather than react to - a viewing experience will be useful. See it and let me know what you thought about.
