Reflection on Portfolios: In working on portfolios in class and in reviewing the good and bad parts of the portfolio system, I've made a few observations:
1- You have to keep track of your work. I will be giving everyone a Physics log sheet next week which you will use to keep track of assignments, mark due dates, record grades, and check on revisions. Nothing is more important in this class than the work that you do, so we need to keep better track of it.
2- You need to hand in your work. Don't leave homeworks and projects until the last second. You only end up stressing yourself out by doing that. Keep careful track of when assignments are due and turn them in on the due date. It's easier for you and for me.
3- Ask questions if you don't understand. I can't help you if I don't know you need me.
4- Use the "mailbox" that I have set up for you in the classroom. The mailbox prevents you from losing older work that you will need later. If you are done with a sheet, or a test, or a project, just put it in there and it won't get lost.
By following these steps in the coming quarters you can have a much easier time creating your portfolio folder.

If you don't have anything nice to say, say it loud.
